The 3rd World Farm Animal Welfare Conference was held in Qingdao from September 19 to 20. The conference is co-sponsored by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the China Association for the Promotion of International Cooperation in Agriculture (CAPIAC), and jointly hosted by the International Cooperation Committee on Animal Welfare and Wan Yao Yuanda. With the theme of "terminal driven quality upgrading and sharing health", the conference invited nearly 400 representatives from international institutions, experts and scholars, and representatives of animal husbandry enterprises from all over the world.
China Classification Society Quality Certification Co., Ltd. (CCSC) participated in the conference as the only farm animal welfare assessment agency entrusted by the International Cooperation Committee on Animal Welfare in China. CCSC general manager Huang Shiyuan, deputy general manager Wang Xinting attended the meeting.
This conference focuses on the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the impact of farm animal welfare on the economic development of the worlds animal husbandry, food security, and the green and sustainable development of agriculture, the experience and standards of animal welfare implementation, and the experience sharing of European governments in promoting animal welfare And other topics, in-depth interpretation of the current development status of the animal welfare industry and analysis of future development trends.
Wang Xinting, deputy general manager of CCSC, was invited as a guest of the special interactive forum of animal welfare pig industry, and made a speech on the standard, evaluation and system construction of animal welfare, the development trend of animal welfare and the sustainable development of human beings, and the improvement of food quality.
CCSC will actively participate in the formulation of animal welfare standards, carry out animal welfare assessment, promote animal welfare in China, improve the quality of animal-derived food in China, and protect national food safety.
