Recently, at the invitation of CNOOC Energy Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CNOOC"), Lai Yongcai, Technical Director of Container Inspection Business, and Jiang Feng, Business Director of Container Inspection Department of Beijing Branch, attended the expert review meeting on the completion and acceptance of CNOOCs 20-foot LNG offshore tank container trial production and offshore test. Sun Kicheng, general manager of CNOOC Oil production Technology Center, and Li Wei, leaders of relevant units of CNOOC and general manager of Tianhai cryogenic equipment Co., Ltd., attended the meeting.
As the leader of this review meeting, Lai Yongcais technical director gave guiding opinions and suggestions on many important and difficult issues of 666.66cm LNG offshore tanks inspected and certified by our agency. Jiang Fengs business director explained to the relevant leaders of CNOOC on the legal inspection authorization and certificate application field of CCS offshore box, and put forward suggestions on the grounding protection and maintenance time of tank boxes. At the meeting, the experts of the evaluation team also had full communication on data transmission, tank protection, emergency disposal and other aspects. After discussion by the experts of the review team, it was agreed that the "20-foot LNG offshore tank container trial and sea test" project met the completion acceptance criteria and was approved, and the use of LNG offshore tanks for associated gas recovery and transportation will be promoted in the future.
The LNG offshore tank container reviewed by this review meeting has obtained the approval certificate of meeting the sea trial operation conditions after the drawing review, sample box inspection and test witness of our agency, and has the dual attributes of offshore working conditions and low-temperature storage and transportation of dangerous goods. The review meeting is a demonstration of CNOOCs use of LNG offshore tank containers as transport vehicles in the associated gas liquefaction recovery process. In the past, a large number of associated combustible gases produced in the process of oil production in offshore oilfields were treated by combustion and venting. In order to meet the development needs of "saving energy and protecting the environment", CNOOC has developed an associated gas liquefaction recovery and transportation system to reduce flare combustion, reduce carbon emissions and increase economic benefits for future oilfield development.
In the future, our company will continue to work closely with CNOOC to serve the high-quality development of offshore oil and gas exploration, promote the safe use of LNG offshore tanks, actively respond to the call of "green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains", and contribute to Chinas environmental protection cause.
