Recently, the project of "large-scale activity carbon neutral demonstration and promotion and enterprise low-carbon management capacity building" undertaken by our company has achieved phased results.
On November 19, the Chongqing Enterprise Low-carbon Management Capacity Building Training Conference guided by the Chongqing Ecological Environment Bureau was held in Chongqing. There were more than 300 participants on the spot. The conference was broadcast live through the online platform. The meeting invited Wen Rujun, a first-level inspector of the Chongqing Ecological Environment Bureau, the Municipal Ecological Environment Bureaus Total Quantity Division, verification agencies, environmental assessment agencies, trading agencies, and control and discharge enterprises to participate.
This training actively implements the concept of green conference and zero carbon conference, and plans to carry out carbon neutralization for the conference in the preparation stage of the conference. To this end, Chongqing Branch set up a special carbon neutral project team, responsible for the implementation of carbon neutral in the process of technical difficulties to tackle key problems.
After accounting, the total emissions of participants from transportation, catering, accommodation, conference activities, waste disposal and other activities during the preparation, holding and closing stages of this training conference totaled 4252kg of carbon dioxide equivalent. In accordance with the provisions and requirements of the "Guidelines for the Implementation of Carbon Neutralization of Large-scale Events (Trial)" issued by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Chongqing Branch conducted an objective and fair evaluation of the carbon neutralization implementation plan and carbon emission reduction measures of this meeting. The organizers of the meeting realized the carbon sink emission reduction of 4252kg by purchasing the value of Chongqings "carbon sink" ecological products, thus realizing the carbon offset. It is reported that this is the first time that Chongqings "carbon sink" ecological product value realization project has been applied to the field of active carbon neutrality. This project comes from poor districts and counties rich in ecological resources in Chongqing. It is the best practice to realize the accurate poverty alleviation of villagers on that day, reflecting the ecological development concept that green water and green mountains are Jinshan and Yinshan. It provides a good demonstration for the application of such projects to enterprise carbon neutrality, individual carbon neutrality and emission control enterprise performance. The companys energy conservation and emission reduction certification operations director Shi Weiwei issued a carbon neutral evaluation certificate to the organizer.
This is the first carbon neutral certificate issued by our company in Chongqing, and it is also the first carbon neutral certificate under the guidance meeting of Chongqing Ecological Environment Bureau. Our company will continue to provide technical services for green and low-carbon development, and practice the ecological development concept that green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains.
