In order to implement the concept of green development, help realize the double carbon target, play the role of benchmarking, and implement the key tasks of carbon peak and carbon neutrality specified by the Central Economic Work Conference in 2020, the government service center of Yingkou District of China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone has purchased the certified carbon dioxide emission reduction generated by the 74 MW estuary hydropower project in Gansu Province, complete the neutralization of total greenhouse gas emissions (2270 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent) in 2020. Based on the actual measurement and statistical data, our company conducted a third-party evaluation of the carbon neutral action, and issued the first "carbon neutral" certificate in the northeast region.
The successful completion of the carbon neutrality work is a practical action taken by the Yingkou District Management Committee of China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone to adhere to the concept of green development and implement the overall goal of the central carbon peak/carbon neutrality, which will further lead the industrial transformation of Yingkou District, drive more units in the park to implement the national strategy of "carbon neutrality" and promote green development.
