(CCSC) was officially approved as a third-party verification agency for the public service platform for carbon labeling of building materials.
A carbon label is a label that shows the total amount of greenhouse gases emitted by a product throughout its life cycle, helping companies understand the extent of the products impact on the environment. Carbon label not only reflects the value concept of enterprises pursuing sustainable development, but also helps enterprises to optimize the industrial chain and accelerate the establishment of green and low-carbon circular production system. In addition, carbon labels help consumers choose green and low-carbon building materials products in an intuitive way to promote the green transformation of the entire industry chain.
Through the application of the public service platform for carbon labeling of building materials, applications can be made for products within the scope of application of the published carbon footprint accounting technical documents.

In order to further implement the requirements of the "Implementation Plan for High-quality Development of Green Building Materials Industry" (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Lian Yuan [2023] No. 261), "Opinions on Accelerating the Establishment of Product Carbon Footprint Management System" (NDRC (No. 2023J1529) and other documents, the platform is organized and built by China Building Materials Federation. The independent third-party verification agency verifies the carbon footprint statement report and related data submitted by the carbon label applicants, based on the results of the verification report, it is decided whether to issue a carbon label certificate.
