On January 11, the Xinjiang Corrosion and Protection Association held the "First Xinjiang Energy Field Corrosion and Protection Technology Exchange". The meeting will give priority to the units and individuals who have made great contributions to the anti-corrosion work in Xinjiang in 2020. Xinjiang Branch, together with five units including Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Special Equipment Inspection and Research Institute and PetroChina Oil Pipe Engineering Technology Research Institute, won the 2020 "Advanced Model Award".
In 2020, Xinjiang Branch successively investigated the anti-corrosion failure of several buried oil and gas pipelines such as Duwu refined oil and Shanwu crude oil, and found out the causes of the failure and put forward suggestions for improvement. During the flight inspection of the excavation and disposal project of the Western Pipeline Company, Xinjiang Branch managed the whole process from the anti-corrosion examination and disclosure at the front end of the anti-corrosion construction to the quality inspection at the back end of the construction. Xinjiang Branch actively participated in the industry standard of "FRP Valve Well Inspection Standard" compiled by Xinjiang Corrosion and Protection Association, filling the gap of lack of standards in this field. Through continuous efforts, the achievements of Xinjiang branch in anti-corrosion work have been unanimously recognized by the association and customers.
Xinjiang Branch will continue to contribute to the anti-corrosion and protection of oil and gas pipelines in Xinjiang, and work with Xinjiang Corrosion and Protection Association and peer units to promote the high-quality development of anti-corrosion in Xinjiang.
