On April 22, the expert consultation and technical seminar on "Research and Application of International Certification Technology for Green Ship Repair" was successfully held in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. This conference was hosted by the China Green Ship Repair International Certification Innovation Alliance, and gathered more than 20 experts and representatives from industry authorities, ship industry associations, classification societies, scientific research institutes and key ship repair companies to jointly build a scientific, standardized and international The green ship repair standard system provides suggestions and suggestions.

The meeting was officially launched in a speech by Lin Hao, deputy general manager of Zhejiang Branch, and Le Junmin, deputy director of Zhoushan Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, and was presided over by Ma Haoli, general manager of Zhejiang Branch. The meeting focused on the three draft group standards of "green ship repair terminology", "guidelines for the evaluation of green ship repair enterprises", "methods and requirements for carbon footprint quantification of greenhouse gas products for ship repair", as well as the draft research report and system construction guide. While fully affirming the previous research results, the participating experts put forward a number of constructive suggestions.

At the research level, experts suggest to further cover the whole production process of shipyards, strengthen the benchmarking analysis of international standards and transnational certification systems, and enhance the market adaptability of standards and the potential of international mutual recognition. In the top-level design of the standard system, it is necessary to clarify the standard positioning and life cycle scope, and set up flexible modules by type and region for actual scenarios such as emergency maintenance and ship type differences to enhance operability; in the difficult area of carbon footprint accounting, the meeting made it clear that the system boundary should be strictly combined with the ship repair process, and put forward specific suggestions on the accounting method of steel and other materials.

The seminar was fruitful, not only systematically combing the optimization path of the current draft standards, but also laying a solid foundation for the pilot application of subsequent standards and international mutual recognition. The alliance said that it will fully absorb the wisdom of experts, speed up the improvement of standards and supporting documents, and make every effort to promote Chinas green ship repair standards to the world.
